2007 in Film

It's Oscar time and I have a feeling that the fans of Japanese Jesus are interested in the ten best movies from last year. Here it is in no particular order with comments:

No Country For Old Men (best of the year)
There Will Be Blood (second best of the year)
3:10 to Yuma (surprisisngly excelelnt)
Eastern Promises (Cronenberg's best ever)
Michael Clayton (worst movie title of the year)
Superbad (Michael Cera might be the best ever at playing awkward teens)
Juno (Michael Cera again, and Ellen Page was great)
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead (Lumet surprises with first excellent film in 25 years)
I'm Not There (Gere was unnecesary, Blanchett was brilliant)

Everyone is welcome to view the Oscars at Japanese Jesus headquarters if you can find it.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year, loyal readers.

Some people might say that February 22 is a little late for the first post of the year, but those people don't know what this blog is all about.
